2017 Christmas Gift Guide – A Place to Flop

I wanted to write a post about Christmas Gift ideas this year, but seeing how it’s already December, this may not be very useful. Unless, of course, you do a bunch of shopping online, like I do, and therefore, you still have things to shop for. Ideally, I wanted to feature some local shops to support, which could still be helpful if you have a similar place wherever you are located, maybe.

We have a somewhat large family so it was important to me to be very mindful of the people, things, and money we needed to spend/save. I decided to do some DIY projects and to do some more memory or action centered gifts for the kids. NOT JUST TOYS.

October and the Pursuit of Fulfillment

October has proven to be a busy month. Lots of school activities, home activities, job activities and all the prepping for Halloween. A crap ton of work, but most of it has been pretty good work, nothing too shabby.

I’ve also made sure to set time aside to figure out ways or to practice ways to improve myself and I am making some final decisions on schooling and what my goals are. Yoga + Ayurveda – A Life Requirement // A Place to Flop

The other day, I read this quote “The first step in crafting a life you want is to get rid of everything you don’t.” — Joshua Becker, Becoming Minimalist

Great motto. I also tend to take things very literal. I’m a serious person, which is weird because my favorite thing is to laugh, make jokes, and not be serious. A Roundup of Sorts – Earth, Birthdays & Gratitude – A Place to Flop

Hey there folks,

How are you people doing? It’s the 4th of July as I write this post and my-oh-my, you sure have come a long way America, but I must say, you certainly have a lot more work to do. I’ve thought a lot lately, much about things to blog about, but I haven’t been able to sit down a get it out. I’ve started to keep a little notebook with ideas so that I can revisit things later when I have time to sit > think > type. However, sometimes that backfires and I literally forget to write down my little idea. BUMMER.

It’s hard to start a blog

“..But, just start writing,” I say, pretty much always to myself because who else hears me talk but this high-strung toddler and the non-stop smiling infant. It’s been hard to come up with that very first blog post. I mean, I can come up with about 1 million ideas a day and about 968,354 of those said ideas are GREAT ideas, but I have allowed ZERO time for getting them on paper, or this blog. Don’t worry, most of that great idea talk is sarcasm.
